Since it was built, ca. 1864, this structure has been credited to Brunel, who died some years earlier. Only in the last few years has a historian looked closely at diaries and other documents and asserted that the standing version may not be Brunel's design (which was certainly the starting point). Our starting point is #1, followed by some pics from the other side. Vic got some good shots from other angles, but I'll have to run them at a later date.
