We spent only long enough in Portishead to look for seaglass. As the first picture indicates, the search for tumbled, smooth glass did not look promising at the outset.

We stuck with it, though, as a ship crossed back and forth in front of us.

I'll show you what we found in a second, first look at this second ship that we caught from the car as we left town:

Now see what I sorted at the end of the day. First, what we're throwing back (upon close inspection, edges caught my fingertips); then, what I didn't make the call on right away; then the collection of keepers. I do hope that customs lets me bring it all back.
