Cream tea, version 1.0

We ordered a set cream tea at the Wishing Well tea shop. The scones weren't that great, the jam was jarred, and the tea cakes were unnecessary. The tea came with a jug of boiling water, for refreshing the pot, which means no sensitivity to the tannins at the Wishing Well.

But I digress. The clotted cream--oh, the clotted cream! Is it pure lactose? It is cool on the tongue for that split second before it melts away. It would improve any edible thing by its presence. With the texture of buttercream frosting--wait, isn't buttercream dependent on... Oh, never mind. It is good.
