As soon as we disembarked in Wellington, we headed north to Levin. It was a nice day (despite how dreary it appears), and we had a date with a shipwreck!
It looks as though the islands are similar from these photos, but North Island has a very different feel: big city, hustle and bustle, overheated and overworked. It feels like culture shock after the beautiful South Island.
