We went to an animal center in Hokitika after getting back from the glacier. We were able to see kiwis there, but we were not permitted to photograph them. They're cat-size!
What we could photograph: the eel-feeding experience (a little blurry) and tuataras, the 'only living dinosaurs.' Bottom pic is, I think, a tuatara head sticking out from under a concrete slab.
