We boarded the ferry, looking longingly at the Edwin Fox Maritime Museum next door, which was open early Sunday morning [sigh]. Some things you have to miss.
Our tickets were 'club class' and they said to check in at a souvenir shop onboard. We did so, and got sent to our own private room on the ferry! It could have held a dozen more people, but it appears our travel agent paid the premium, and no one else was interested.
It was really great to have our own private space. It had coffee and biscuits and cheesey thingies, plus desks and wall plugs for my laptop to recharge, and newspapers and televisions!
Among the first images are our last of South Island.
