Wellington

The wind in Wellington blows and blows hard. In picture #2, the cloud cover reveals both the direction and the force of the wind. You can sort of make out the homes on the hillside at the back of the bay. The city would be kind of like a bowl, if it were shaped more like a bowl.

Wellington appears to be geared toward children, more so than any other city in NZ so far. There were bungy setups in at least two locations near the waterfront (one a cart on a bungy strap), huge play structures, climbing walls and skateboard parks, and--my favorite--bubbles. A pic of the bubbles is near the bottom.
