On Thursday, we toured one peninsula that extends from the North Carolina shore out toward the Outer Banks. We visited Washington (proved to be beyond sleepy...residents perhaps are the undead? hiding during the daylight hours?), then Belhaven (unbelievably slow moving; we couldn't even find downtown). We saw a lonely baby duck in Washington.
The mosaic crab was in Washington; the other was in Belhaven. The crabs seem to identify the Inner Banks, the way that winged horses identify the Outer Banks. The lobsters were somehow misplaced from Gloucester...we found them in Washington, where crabs are served, no lobsters at all.
