Beach creach

Some more of the creatures that we are seeing around the islands. The coquinas (tiny shells) were in a dry creek bed. More typically, they burrow down into the sand at the edge of the ocean, each time the waves recede.

Near the jelly you can see tiny holes in the beach. Again, more typically, those tiny holes are well above the tide line and are home to ghost crabs, depicted earlier in this trip.

  1. When I was a kid in Barbados, I used to love to watch those holes ...

  2. Very similar to Vic. He likes to put food out and watch until the crabs emerge to drag it off into the holes.
