Jersey NASGA

You may remember, the North American Sea Glass Association is why I was in New Jersey the first weekend of October. I submitted some pretty cool glass to the best-shard competition. My submissions included one piece (pink) that was 1) found and nabbed for me by my friend John, in a place where taking glass was not exactly permitted, and 2) obviously fingered by the judges because I glued it down in one position, and it was all turned around upon its return.

However, the piece below won, and with good reason. It's a bottle stopper, it's black, and it's unique as well as, obviously, rare. It was found by a teenage boy in Gloucester, Mass!

I wish the photo was more clear, but I took it with my phone.
