Feeding the dolphin

We each deposited food into the mouths of dolphin. It's a process that requires memorization of approach and style.

A hilarious moment: Mike, while snapping my picture, was attacked by a fish-seeking bird--caught here on its approach.

Drumming and dancing

The thrum of drumbeats was stirring as these leaping, dancing men on stilts moved through. I was waiting for the kids to emerge from a ride, thinking it was going to be a long, dull wait. Surprise!

Killer whales

I realize that a documentary has been released about SeaWorld's inhumane treatment of killer whales and other species. I did not realize that before our trip! I was 'taken in' by the parks' use of ABA principles.

Here are the highlights, anyway, of the Shamu show.

Manatees

I love manatees. I went to FL later with a friend, and stayed very near Manatee Bay. We didn't see a single one.

Liz's favorite show

My daughter Liz laughed and laughed during this show, a pirate fantasy involving an otter, as I recall.

Turtles

We saw a number of turtles, large and small, brown and green.
